Written by Peter Saul

petersaulcroppedExploring alternative futures for Australia, Peter Saul found himself wondering what a formal contract between voters and their representatives might look like.   There is, of course, an implicit contract..... but how well is it recognised?  And is it honoured?   Dr Saul thought there may be merit in spelling out the details.   His draft Contract between political candidates and voters follows.    He invites comment and contributions from members of the Futures Foundation and others....

Australia 2026 - The Conscious Country
Written by Barbara Bok

bbokcroppedAustralia joins the awakening of the world.....
A  young Australian’s vision of a safe and conscious Australia merges with the World Wisdom Council’s vision of global peace and a new dimension of consciousness.

Three transformative waves
Three waves were needed to bring about the transformation to a safe and conscious Australia. Each wave left a change, just like brushing your hand over a shiny carpet leaves a change.   And as one brush is not enough to change the whole carpet, so it was that three waves were needed to completely change the Australian National carpet.

The three waves become visible during the following three phases:
  • 2006–2012     Increased transparency
  • 2010–2020     Different work purposes
  • 2015–2026     New humanity program
